Non Stop Partying November & Dec...

What can be said about last month hey? Some quality events played at, finishing last Friday night on ‘home turf ‘and the final Privé of 2012 alongside ‘No Artificial Colours’ where this Leamington Spa night (which we hold dear to our hearts) continues to go from strength to strength and we cannot wait to see what Taylor, Ashworth & Mackey have in store for 2013, keep up the good work guys!

**********

November also saw us playing twice for our good Pals over @ 02:31 first up being the 1st Birthday Party which was MASSIVE (surely establishing itself as the only after party event in Birmingham) if that wasn’t enough we then got to play again @ last week’s event where they had another badboy booking in the form of Justin Martin and which again, went off proper!

**********

Well, Winter & December are showing no signs of letting up with us playing a brand new night in Birmingham called Friction @ Sound Control on the Friday 14th so why not get down and show your support on two fronts...
click the ‘Events 2012*’ tab @ top left o' page for more info on this

Prior to the above, 8th December sees another return to 02:31 where ‘Bridge The Gap Records’ are hosting Room 2 with us playing alongside the one and only ‘SmakPony’ and as ever when we play with these guys it’s always a spectacle to behold as Snowbombing 2012 can vouch...

On the Snowbombing front (and as mentioned in last month’s blog) we have been confirmed to play FACE's 2nd year out-there and with the line-up this time around its surely gonna be an even more epic event!

Like we did for this years trip, we are going over again in a big group and are currently taking bookings, all info here:

Also click the ‘Get In Touch*’ tab on the left of the page and use any of the options on there if you require even further info

Finally, and more HUGE NEWS for us, again with FACE and what is sure to put a cap on another quality year is the RAINBOW NYE SHOWCASE where we have been asked to play the 'COURTYARD & STREET MARQUEE PARTY' and are well looking forward to all you lot bringing in 2013 the only way we know how....

See you at everyone of 'em guys :-)

On the FACE front, we have been confirmed again (after a successful SNOWBOMBING 2012) for the 2013 Event

We are also due a return to the Rainbow very soon to play for the guys so keep ya eyes peeled on this site for further info for both these events

**********

Next up for us on the DJ’ing front is a hometown Leamington Spa night (which we have played at regularly) and sees the return of our good pals Privé kicking off their new monthly Friday parties on the 26th of October @ SMAK Nightclub their 3rd Birthday too and also sees them for the first time ever have a guest headliner in the form of ‘Waif & Strays’

THE MIGHTY DUTCH OF ANALHEIM

Right then peoples!..... First of all we want to wish you all a very happy new year! its been a little while since we did our last comprehensive Blog, our Xmas schedule was extremely busy with gigs coming out of every orifice and more party's than you could shake a shitty stick at :-) so we apologise for the absence.

After an amazing 2011 where we went from strength to strength played some amazing party's and met some amazing people  ( you know who you are), I just want to tell you all a little bit about our plans for the first quarter of this year.

This Saturday 7/1/2012 takes us to the spiritual home of deep/tech in Birmingham  FACE @ the Rainbow complex where there is a room swap going on and its our first appearance in the cellar, now for those of you that are not familiar with the venue the cellar is underneath the rainbow equipped with a booming Funktion 1 sound system and has an air of berlin about it! man this place is one of the citys hidden gems!... we know that its the week after NYE but its one of the best times to party and see who can really man up and whos got the minerals.

This event will feature TRUESELF from ATJAZZ records alongside ourselves and FACE residents BUNNY, SCOTT BLEEPZ and ELLIOT CROFT. now here is the good bit ... the kind powers that be at FACE have made this a half price entry being just £5 all night so really there can be no excuses! what better way than to beat the january blues other than to party right through it?.................................... SEE YOU ON THE DANCEFLOOR!

Ok so the following week sat 14.1.2012 we are heading back to Careys in Coventry playing for BISCUIT DISCO alongside LEE BRINX from lower east records London and DUTCH SETTLERS long time ally and friend DAVE THATCHER.

Also featuring on this night is resident JAMES WHEELER who smashes it every time so all in all a pretty sick line-up!

* THIS PARTY IS FREE ENTRY AND ITS MY (ADAM WILSON'S) BIRTHDAY AND  I AM CELEBRATING IT HERE! THE CLUB ARE SUPPLYING A FREE MINI BUS FROM LEAMINGTON SO ALL THAT WANT TO COME GET IN TOUCH 07863129163!

P.S did i forget to mention that the sound system ( the whole set up in fact ) is world class and we will be playing a special birthday set so be there or be square!

CHECK OUT THE VID BELOW TO SEE WHAT TO EXPECT!

LE PISCINE WITH SPECIAL GUEST JORDAN PEAK!

This is a very special gig for us :-)  we have seen our London based compatriots and promoters of LE PISCINE  (JONNAY & BRADLIANO) go from strength to strength and this night goes to  prove that their hard work is paying off and that they are rapidly becoming one of the main players on the underground scene in London. We love their sound and love working with these guys, look out for them in the future as im sure they will be gracing the decks in the midlands very soon!

Being held at Plan B's basement in Brixton this intimate  party is going to boast a huge Funktion 1 soundsystem and up for it clued up crowd. Also DJ'ING  Alongside the hugely successful JORDAN PEAK on this night is another friend of ours KEIRAN JAMES from ESOTERIC and MARSHAM from SPANGLAND thsese guys also know how to work the dancefloor so your in for a real treat folks! and then of course the fantastic JONNAY & BRADLIANO and ourselves!    the event is on  resident advisor and part of air London get your tickets from this link
http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?325128* early birds are on sale now for £5.00* be sure to book as we have a sneaking suspicion that this will be a sell out event.

Finally if you haven't heard we will be playing SNOWBOMBING festival this year for FACE in Austria the line-up is ridiculous and features headliner SNOOP DOG amongst others! we will do a blog specifically on this soon with a much more detailed account of what's in store but if you like snowboarding, skiing or falling on your ass and listening to decent tunes then this is for you! If you want to book through us then this is the link https://www.facebook.com/events/301156036570328/ we have a huge crew going and is going to  be a memorable experience for all that attends! see you on the slopes!

We wish you all a very prosperous 2012 and make sure you keep checking the Blog with what we are up to!  Take this advice..... love like you have never been hurt, live like you will never die dance like no one is watching and remember  a weekend wasted isn't a wasted weekend!

Save the Settler (namely Bob) @ Rockafellas - 30th Aug 2011

Well ya boy started off proceedings by getting lads from his work together and having a cheeky Thursday at our fave weekly night in the Midlands the one and only Sno where we were put on to play via matey Andy Bell (SmakPony)as a last minute thing. Transpired to be a decent set, decent crowd and as always decent neet had by all, which then set us up for what happened next………..

Bit of background here:- After smashing up a Save The Pony gig at what can only be described as back of a social club back in May, our man Twon Mendiloco was obviously impressed with what he heard/saw and from there decided (good or bad, only time will tell) to invite us for a second sitting which resulted in us supporting the one and only Russ Yallop (who I have to give kudos to after the session on Sat, ‘safe pal’) at a Save The Pony Gig on Friday @ Rockafellas, Leicester

DS rocks up there fashionably late (in standard attire, Orange Stars everywhere) about 10 mins before the Gig, but plenty of practice had made perfecto (as if) we still managed to play our RAW HOUSE sound and please a crowd (if only we could please our Boobies hey?) before Russ took over and stormed it culminating in, and im not gonna lie to ya, an EPIC NIGHT all round with the after session being just as good!

ps Don’t forget we are playing this Sat at FACE & Cream Ibiza Classics - STREET CARNIVAL BIRMINGHAM on 1-2.30 in the Garden

Blatantly support us and as always we much appreciate, DUTCH LOVE xxx

First stop is on the the 29TH July where we will be playing for SAVE THE PONY @ Rockefeller s in Leicester alongside one of our favourite DJ's RUSS YALLOP,  with support from Tomwa, Rebel, D&D, Looka, Skeggs and Twon.... always a fresh sound with an up for it crowd and this may be their biggest party to date! oh and did i forget to mention ..... ITS FREE ENTRY!

Next stop we have an extended set in Birmingham for FACE @ the Rainbow, now for those of you that came to the FACE vs VIVA party back in May you will remember that it was the best event seen in Birmingham for a long time and there is the same excitement for this party on 6TH AUGUST, we are playing in the garden again which has that alluring summer vibe and more importantly a  booming  funktion 1 sound system.  We WILL absolutely smash the place to pieces again i promise, definatly shouldn't be missed, also the lineup really is something else i know that the FACE team has put so much time effort and money into making this the party of the summer so DO NOT MISS THIS.... let me do some name dropping, the lineup to name but a few consists of JAMIE JONES, DEREK CARTER, EDU IMBERNON, TIM GREEN, SCOTT BLEEPZ, ELLIOT CROFT, JEREMY HEALY, TALL PAUL BRANDON BLOCK SHORTERZ AND FRIENDS, ELECTRONIQUE DJS AND WWJD DJS...... wowza  thats  world class!.......

So as you can see things are really hotting up now and just when you think it couldnt get any better...

20 AUGUST - RUNWAY vs GRITTER UNDERGROUND @ CAREYS COVENTRY with SMAK PONY. ................
We are extremely moist about this event, not only are we teaming up with our closest DJ allies SMAK PONY  we are also playing at what we think is undoubtedly THE best club in the midlands, we played there for the first time last month and we were blown away, recently refurbished it is now home to the  sickest soundsystem we have played on ( a ridiculous Funktion 1) and state of the art lighting...you almost feel  as if your in berlin or detroit! you gotta see it to believe it and when we are tearing the place apart with SMAK PONY the roof will come off! other djs on the night are Obie Tryce, Rogan, HoH and Rio. The back room hosted by DJ Kuska and Mark Barrett... EXPECT ROLLING UNDERGROUND RAW HOUSE BEATS!

28th August CC : SOUNDSYSTEM @ KASBAH Coventry

SoundSystem , Coventry's first ever electronic dance metro-festival by Like Minded Events, the company behind the What Would Jesus Do? Party series.

On a closing note i would like to give a massive shout out to everyone who has supported us and believed in us over the last year! we have played some amazing gigs and met some even more amazing people, its mad how things keep on snowballing and at risk of sounding like " not naming names" a cheesy 90's trance DJ... just like toilet paper were on a roll, also we are in talks with various people/labels about getting our material a release so stay tuned folks. We are also in talks with the global clothing brand RELIGION and a Dutch Settlers* limited edition T-shirt will be avaliable very soon! we take our music seriously but we also know how to F*****G party, no ego no attitude... SEE YOU ON THE DANCEFLOOR

IBIZA VOYAGE JUNE 2011

This was our 2nd trip to the magic isle this year and my did it not disappoint. We set off on Friday night and arrived early Saturday morning to amazing weather and the calling sounds of the clubs. Saturday was all about Zoo project and the release of the animal. It was a packed out zoo with many crazy sights to behold. Massive respect to Johnny D who taught everyone a lesson that night in the seal pit. We sat and watched in awe. The bass lines we're crazy!

.......Sunday we popped into Sankeys after playing Manchester the previous week we thought we'd go and show our support. None other than Mr Todd Terry was playing and we was all pleasantly surprised to hear this legend in the mix. Big up Sankeys for a great sound system too........

Monday as always was about DC10. Our favourite club on the island and to be fair in the world. With the Void Airmotion soundsystem, new soundproofed roof and new flooring it is a clubbers club which takes no prisoners. We was the first in there and the last to leave. Dubfire smashed the back doors off the place and if anyone was there to witness this they are probably still recovering now. What a night with all our friends we love you and we love DC10. Peace out and BE WELL x

DUTCH SETTLERS SMASH SANKEYS!

What a weekend! We had a call out of the blue asking if we could play Sankeys in manchester so we made the journey up on Saturday evening to play what can only be described as one of the best clubs in the UK. We teamed up with Smak Pony and a bus full of amazing party people to make the journey up there. We arrived at approximately 11pm after the crazy trip up on the disco bus. We played from 12 - 1 dropping some of our classics which went down a storm. The crowd was bubbling and the system was BIG. Smak Pony came on after us and basically ripped it up as they always do. An amazing evening had by all! Just want to say special thanks to Andy Bell and Ste Savage for arranging the trip, Ricky Hatton for making the trip to see us and everyone else who was involved. Will go down in history ;) x

DUTCH SETTLERS @ DC-10 CIRCO LOCO OPENING PARTY MAY 2011

What th!!!!!....We're back from what was an epic 15 hour marathon at the mecca that is Circo Loco @ DC-10. The day started with a huge thunder storm and heavy rain but that wasn't enough to put a dampener on the party.

For the dedicated followers that braved the weather, Clive Henry served up the first set of the day (and the season) in the garden....which set the scene for the rest of the day.....The garden steadily filled up with a perfect mix of Spanish, Italian and English seasoned clubbers gasping for their first taste of the NEXT LEVEL at Circo Loco. The next level is exactly what we got when Kerri Chandler took to the decks outside to ....by this time the garden was heaving and amass with a crowd only DC-10 could attract.

The SmaK Pony boys and Face resident Elliott Croft joined us in the garden just in time for Dyed Soundorom & Dan Ghenacia who got the first crowd sit down of the day and season which you can see here --->

From that point on everything went a bit double dutch.......Davide Squillace & Matthias Tanzmaan back to back in the garden and on the terrace provided the perfect combo of deep, melodic, tech house which is the defining sound of the summer already.....on that note...be prepared for 2 new fresh Ibizia inspired mixes coming very soon. Love you. BE WELL x

DUTCH SETTLERS IN GUINESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT FOR MACMILLAN CANCER FOUNDATION

We made the trip over to the Rescue Rooms/ Stealth Club over in Nottingham on thursday 12th May for a event  called All Hands On Decks. The idea was for a Guiness world record attempt of over 100 DJ's from all genres to have one mix each. It started off at 7pm with Deep house (When we all had our mix) at 120 bpm and went through all genres up to about 170bpm. The current record stood at 83 DJ's and it took over 6 hours to reach that mark. The evening just got better and better and there was a great vibe buzzing around the place. It was great to meet Dj's from all types of music who love what they do and all in the aid of Macmillan cancer foundation. Just want to give a massive shout out to all who organised this great event especially Ross westland, Dave thatcher, Eastern Fidget posse and sparkly shorts girl. Check out a small clip of the night via this link.....

DUTCH SETTLERS PLAY BANK HOLIDAY SPECIAL @ FACE VS VIVA

Well then there's so much to say about this party. It started at 3pm sunday day and went on until 6am on the monday morning. The venue comprised of 2 main areas, The beach and The Warehouse. We played on the Beach from 7pm - 8pm and to be fair we smashed it up playing some propa nice groovy deep house. The Warehouse opened at 9pm and we all went in there to sample the delights of some great DJ's; Smak Pony, Lauhaus, Darrius Syrrosian, Jorris Vorn and finally the big man himself Steve Lawler. Birmingham hasn't experienced such a party for a long time with an amazing crowd and rolling tunes,....everything was perfect! Just want to say a special thanks to the guys who arranged the party and all the guys at the Rainbow. Top night and hope to see something like this again very soon. Birmingham deserves nothing less!
